Slow Shutter
Capture light trails and motion blur with our new Slow Shutter capture mode.
Slow Shutter is a new capture mode that allows you to set a duration and will blend the frames taken in that duration into one photo. Real light through the sensor across the full exposure - not a single frame with an effect applied after.
There are two effects, each with its own stacking and blending pipeline.
Light Trails Headlights, ferris wheels, sparklers. Moving light sources draw their path across the frame while the scene behind them holds.

Getting Started
Slow Shutter sits in the mode selector, alongside Photo and Video.
While in Slow Shutter mode set your duration in the Format menu, or switch to Bulb and end the exposure when you're ready.
How to get the best shots
- A tripod is recommended to help keep static objects sharp.
- An ND Filter will block out light and allow you to set a slower shutter speed which will capture more buttery motion.
- Your shutter speed will dictate how many frames are captured in the duration - play with duration and Shutter Speed to find what works best for you. The slower the shutter, the more natural motion blur you’ll get.
